Ama Dablam îs one of the most well-known and certainly one of the most instantly recognisable peaks of the Himalayas. The classic view of the mountain is undoubtedly here from the trail between Phortse and Pangboche where the viewer looks straight at the most striking feature of the mountain, its north-western face.
