This print is one of a series of high quality images captured on the summit of Kala Pattar using one of several powerful professional film or digital cameras including the Fuji GX617 and the Nikon D850. The image was captured using a telephoto lens and features the summit of Everest rising high above the mighty South West Face, first climbed in 1975 by a British expedition led by Sir Chris Bonington. Taken during the month of November, the high jet stream winds have blown the face almost totally clear of snow.
