Ullswater Morning Mists

Early morning mist hovers above the still cold waters of Ullswater

An image captured shortly after dawn on a morning in early April from a shoulder on the well-known viewpoint of Gowbarrow Fell above the north-western shore of Ullswater. The view is across Ullswater looking towards Place Fell with the villages of Glenridding and Patterdale beneath. St Sunday Crag, Dollywagen and Nethermost Pikes are prominent in the centre of the image with Helvellyn just visible above.
