Great Gable and Napes Crags from the shores of Wastwater

There are numerous viewpoints for Great Gable as one approaches along Wastwater to Wasdale Head, but after many visits here I now firmly believe that there is none better than this one from the head of the valley. From here one can fully appreciate the form and detail of the mountain and particularly the Napes Crags, considered to be the birthplace of English rock climbing.
