Kangtaiga and Thamserku

The fine peaks of Kangtaiga and Thamserku are two of the most striking in the Khumbu Region of Nepal and certainly two of the most visible. Along with Ama Dablam they dominate most of the trails that pass this way and are visible from most viewpoints along the entire trail to Everest Base Camp. However, this image was taken mid-afternoon in spring from the lesser used and high traversing path on the opposite site of the Imja Khola Valley that runs between Phortse and Pangboche.
