Snowdon Summer Sunrise The vivid light of sunrise illuminates the Snowdon Horseshoe and Cwm Dyli.
A very early Snowdon summer sunrise with superb light on Crib Goch making it very obvious why the peak gets its name. The translation of Crib Goch is ‘red crest’. The viewpoint is above Llyn Llydaw at about 1800 feet on mixed but easy ground shown on the ordnance survey maps as ‘The Horns’. The camera used was the Canon 5D Mark III with a 24-70mm lens.
