Everest Gokyo Panorama is an image captured from the summit of Gokyo Peak at the head of the Gokyo valley. One’s arrival at Gokyo is greeted with incredible view of the south face of Cho Oyu, 8,188m., (26,864 ft.) and its trapeziod neighbour Gyachung Kang, 7,952m., (26,089 ft.); these mountains tower over a huge glacial basin feeding the Ngozumba Glacier and its five fresh water lakes. Gokyo Peak is a popular short ascent from the head of the valley and is a popular destination for trekkers as it offers outstanding views not only towards the east to Everest and Makalu, but also to the south to the lower peaks of the Khumbu.
