Dhaulagiri from Ghorapani

Dhaulagiri is the seventh highest mountain in the world at 8,167 metres (26,795 ft) above sea level. It forms part of a large mountain mass containing seven major summits of which many rise to over 7,000 metres. he main summit's rise from lower terrain is almost unequalled as its great south face rises 7,000 m (22,970 ft) from the bed of Kali Gandaki River 30 km to the southeast. The sheer scale and magnificence of this mountain is best appreciated from across the great divide of the Kali Gandaki Valley at a viewpoint in the neighbouring Annapurna massif.
