Machhapuchhare from Base Camp

The 'Fish Tail' peak of Machhapuchhare in the Annapurna Himalaya, Nepal.

The unclimbed 6,993 metre peak of Machhapuchhare, also known as the 'Fish-Tail' peak, is a satellite of the Annapurna Himalaya in Mid-Western Nepal. It is most commonly seen and photographed from the south, but is here captured from the west near its base camp at the entrance to the Annapurna Sanctuary.
