K2 from Concordia

K2 rises above the Godwin-Austin Glacier

The great peak of K2, the second highest summit in the world, rises majestically and in total isolation at the head of the Godwin-Austin Glacier. The view was captured in early morning from a camp at Concordia which lies at the confluence of the Baltoro and Godwin Austin Glaciers. The attendant peak to the left of K2 is known as 'The Angelus'.
